Panigrahanam
Hey All. Yet another pic from the cousin’s wedding. I like this pic for the difficulty i have to go through to click it. Difficulty, you may ask. Let me tell you. First of all there are lot of photographers competing to take pictures of the wedding. So i had to move out of the group and click this from a different angle. Secondly, There was a lot of obstructions caused by the pundit and the relatives and the wedding involves a lot of action.Thirdly… I guess there is no third reason.
This ritual is called Panigrahanam. The groom holds the hand of the bride with his right hand, which is a gesture of the groom accepting the bride amidst Vedic chants. Haah, i forgot to mention the numerous cameras witnessing the event!!.
@The groom and the bride: Chances of you two reading this is minimal. Anyways wish you two a very happy life ahead.
@others who attended the wedding : Nice meeting you guys.
