Songbird – impressive

Couple of months ago ,there was this talk about a open source player called Songbird. I was quick to download it and check its features. It had a decent user interface which resembles that of iTunes and it uses mozilla engine. The intial builds were not impressive and there were a few bugs which bothered a lot. So i was quick to uninstall it.

But recently happen to read a blog from digg.com speaking about Songbird being better than iTunes. So, I installed a recent build of Songbird and Gosh i am impressed. The U. I is better and the the player loads faster. Also impressive is a plugin which i believe is awesome. The LyricMaster as it is rightly called gathers lyrics and displays it. And it did get the lyrics of some Tam songs. And Songbird being opensource i beleive it will get only better with time.

Please, try this player. You wont regret using it.
