MTV — lost charm

Days ago, I happen to read a post by the name MTV and its lost focus on music authored by a close friend. And the recent days watching MTV voices his opinion all the more loudly. MTV has gone from a channel meant for music to a channel meant for everything other than music.

Am i concerned ? Hell yeah !! Now it seriously needs to be asked, What does this M stand for anyway ?

Experimenting is good, at times the best. But the guys doing it have to make sure that they don’t overdo it. MTV a channel based on letting people listen to music has over killed itself by showing almost everything other than music. The latest of the lot is two wannabes with Zero I.Q. talk for hours exposing their stupidity which might be misunderstood as attitude.

Cannot blame MTV. They just joined the bandwagon of all those self proclaimed called News Channels which brings forth sad and sloppy material and call it NEWS. As Oskar Shindler once said “I’d make sure it’s known the company’s in business. I’d see that it had a certain panache. That’s what I’m good at. Not the work, not the work… the presentation. “. The current lot has taken that a bit seriously. Its all panache and no work.

Sting and Dire Straits once came together to come up with Money For Nothing with part of the lyrics being I want my MTV. Taking into consideration all that’s going on, It must be I want NO MORE of MTV!!!.

Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian

Have anyone of you seen the Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian ? Nice Movie that!! Very limited on animation and yet it gets the point across. The men who were exploited the forest are challenged by Aaslan and the inhabitants of the jungle. Aaslan manages to get the trees to walk and get the river to do crazy stuff a finally win over the evil intentions of the men and reclaim the forest which is rightfully theirs from the men who were deforesting it. But will that happen in real life. “Hmmn … no way.” You might say. I dont know.

The Mansions of Gods

The mansion of Gods is a Roman ploy to get the denizens of a certain Gaulish village to vacate their village and thus claim the whole of Gaul as their own. Ceaser was certain that the Gauls have no option of living if the forest around them is no longer there. And Ceaser employs people to build what they call Flats these days. And slowly cut the trees only to find them grown again. How you might ask ? Apart from making cauldrons of magic potion the druid also have seeds which will grow into trees in split seconds. “Can we do the same?” You might ask. No, for we have no Getafix with us.

The walk back home

Of all the things I rate heavily in life is the walk I have back to office. The moon smiles at you while showing the way. Trees on either side bend themselves to the shape of an arc. And the wind blows at your face with every intention of freshening you. It sort gives me a reason to forget everything. “When i drive home i see flats on either sides and at times i cant even see the moon, Amazing No!!!” you might say. Good, Good!!!

Mary had a little lamb

Old rhyme that. Modern day Mary also has a little lamb. the difference is that it is mutated and looks like a pig.
