Yeah they were all yellow

Posted in photography, travel by ohiorat on October 9, 2010

Hey

This pic was shot when i had gone to Nandi hills with the Missus and her friends. Also i must admit that it was my first trip to Nandi hills. Yes I have been in Bangalore for five years and i have never been to Nandi Hills. Quite Shameful!! I know. The trip was a lot of fun. I clicked a lot of photos. As always most of them turned out to be slightly over-exposed. A few of them came out pretty decent. The following is one of them.

Shot with my D90 with F stop : 5.6, Exposure : 1/1600s, ISO : 640, Focal Length : 55mm

Post Processing : Cropping, Fuzzy-Border and  Copyright text

P.S.: I love Yellow. Both the Color and the Song.

The Patient Butterfly

Posted in photography by ohiorat on October 4, 2010

Guys guys guys!!

It is a tough task to take pics of butterflies. These tiny beautiful creatures are always in motion and its very hard to click a decent pic. More over it also requires a telephoto lens. These were my thoughts till a Saturday where i was proven wrong.

I was waiting at a shop waiting for the Missus to come out. And yes I was also expecting my friend and his fiancee to join us. And when they came i happen to see this butterfly happily resting on a leaf. I took out the camera and clicked a pic. Yes i didn’t care to check which mode it was on. I guess it was auto. I don’t think it would have made a difference.

Well!! I dont want to take any credit for this pic! There is something magical about Kerala. Even the butterflies there are very patient.

bye guys

The drops on the flower

Posted in photography by ohiorat on October 1, 2010

Hey All

It would not be a news to you guys that i am married. And with marriage comes huge responsibilities. And one of them is to get flowers for the Missus. Well I like doing that. Actually credit to the wife for showing me how beautiful and delicate flowers are.

One such bunch was the group of Yellow Chrysanthemum and the pic along side belongs to one of those beauties.

We sprinkle water over all the flowers everyday. And one such day i took the above pic.

Following are the settings : ISO : 200 F-Stop : f/5.6 Exposure Time : 1/10 sec Focal length : 55mm

Post processing : Gimp!! A bit of cropping as advised by the Missus and Fuzzy border.

Be Good Guys
